Youth Study Center, JOB1 To Host Job Fair Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans Youth Study Center and JOB1 announced a job fair to recruit 24 direct care staff positions at the Youth Study Center. The job fair will take place on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the JOB1 Business and Career Solutions Center, 3400 Tulane Ave., on the second floor.

         The Youth Study Center, which serves as the juvenile detention center for Orleans Parish, is seeking to hire 24 juvenile detention counselors.

         Attendees are asked to bring identification (a government-issued photo ID card, driver’s license or passport), proof of graduation (high school diploma, GED equivalency diploma, official college transcript or original college diploma) and a social security card. New Orleans Civil Service Department requires that candidates be 21 years of age or greater. Attendees should also come prepared to complete an application, attend an orientation session and schedule an interview with a Youth Study Center representative.
