Younique Donates 4,000+ Handbags, Accessories, Cosmetics To Empower Women Of New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Younique, the direct-sales beauty giant based in Lehi, Utah, is leaving its mark on New Orleans by donating more than 4,000 handbags, accessories, and cosmetics to the local chapter of Dress for Success at the company’s fifth annual convention, that took place from Aug. 3 – 5, at the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center.
Close to 10,000 Younique presenters—the company’s independent distributors—attended and donated.
“At Younique, we seek opportunities to live our mission to uplift, empower, and validate women everywhere, and Dress for Success’s mission pairs beautifully with ours,” said CSO Tori Poulter. “As we gather in New Orleans, we’re thrilled to share our handbags and hearts with women who can use a boost in confidence to pursue their dreams.”
Younique invited its community of successful businesswomen to donate new or gently used handbags and work-appropriate accessories on site at Convention. Younique Corporate joined in by donating cosmetics and a financial donation of $10,000 to the charity, which provides professional attire, cosmetics, jewelry, and handbags to women who participate in their job-skills training. New Orleans City Councilwoman Nadine M. Ramsey attended the donation presentation at the conference and said, “Thank you so much for what you’re doing for Dress for Success, they’re an amazing organization and so important for our community.”
“Dress for Success New Orleans empowers each woman to achieve economic independence, realize her full potential, and confidently take charge of her life's direction and what success means to her,” said Lori Byargeon, director of operations with Dress for Success New Orleans. “We’re very grateful for the support of Younique and their similar and worthy mission.”
Younique’s convention focuses on providing presenters with product education and business-boosting training from professionals and top-level peers alike. Convention also encourages camaraderie among its presenters with a private concert, awards ceremonies, informal team activities and a closing party like this year’s masquerade-themed ball.
Other highlights of the convention included:

• General session featuring Kara DioGuardi, a Grammy-nominated hit songwriter, producer, Broadway performer and TV personality who has written 50-plus charting singles for a number of pop’s greatest stars, including Kelly Clarkson and Pink.
• Breakout sessions from Younique’s top-tier sales leaders as well as a handful of Younique employees—including NFL Superbowl champion and Younique senior director of corporate wellness Rob Morris.
• A booth and general session highlighting the work of The Younique Foundation, the nonprofit organization and reason behind Younique which helps survivors of childhood sexual abuse find healing and reclaim hope.
