The Hispanic Chamber of Louisiana Young Professionals (HCCLYP) fosters growth, development, and resources for the up-and-coming Hispanic business leaders. HCCLYP achieves this endeavor by hosting various events throughout the year that are specifically tailored to the young Hispanic community.
The year’s first event was a long-awaited networking event held at the Women’s Business Collaborative in New Orleans. This event received a great reception due to Covid-19 making networking impossible in previous months.
The HCCLYP also hosted a Lunch and Learned with a panel discussing the topic of Advancing and Attracting the Hispanic Workforce. This great event was followed up with a Young Professionals hosted a panel at HCCL’s Women’s Business Symposium, where panelists answered questions on how they dealt with the difficulties Covid-19 had on their business and lifestyle.
Most recently, HCCLYP hosted a Facebook Live where four panelists discussed the importance of mental health and provided valuable resources and information on seeking treatment and handling mental health challenges.
The remainder of the year will bring valuable opportunities for young Hispanic leaders. Events to look forward to include:
- Fundraising event “Salsa afternoon”
- Fall Food drive
- Dia de Los Muertos Festival
- Christmas Holiday Social
