NEW ORLEANS – Allison Hotard is the new executive director of the Young Leadership Council, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing young leaders in the New Orleans area. The New Orleans native is expected to begin her tenure in December.
Hotard earned a master’s degree in business management from Loyola University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in hotel, restaurant, and tourism from the University of New Orleans. Her professional journey includes roles at Greater New Orleans Inc. and Loyola University of New Orleans, where she worked in alumni relations and development strategies.
Hotard’s skill set includes fundraising, event planning and volunteer coordination. She is also an active volunteer in the community, contributing her time to local initiatives and organizations like Generation Success.
“I am deeply thankful to the Young Leadership Council board of directors for giving me the opportunity to lead this esteemed organization,” Hotard said. “YLC has made a significant impact on the lives of countless New Orleanians, and I am no exception. My experience as a participant in YLC’s Leadership Development Series was transformative. During a time when I felt adrift, the organization was a beacon, guiding me toward a meaningful purpose, nurturing my leadership skills, and encouraging my commitment to serve this community. I eagerly embrace the next steps of collaborating with the board, our members and fellow alumni to ensure YLC’s continued success in providing valuable services to our beloved city and maximizing our collective impact for years to come.”
As executive director of YLC, Hotard plans to expand the organization’s reach, enhance leadership development programs, and foster strong community connections.
