Yelp's ‘Five-Star Salute’ To Celebrate National Military Appreciation Month In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Yelp and The National WWII Museum are inviting members of the community to partake in a night of revelry on Friday, May 19, at The National WWII Museum U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, 945 Magazine St., from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. during Military Appreciation Month to celebrate local businesses that show their support for those who have served.

One hundred percent of the donations received at Yelp's “Five-Star Salute” will go to VetLaunch, a local nonprofit organization that provides veterans with the resources to effectively make the transition from military to civilian life; from business start-up help to job training and placement.

Yelp's “Five-Star Salute” is the crowd-sourced local business review and social networking website’s grand celebration during Yelp Salutes Our Troops, a month-long initiative connecting local businesses to the military and Yelp community through promoting local military discounts, highlighting veteran-owned businesses, donation drives and more.
