NEW ORLEANS – The Board of Directors of the World Trade Center of New Orleans has named Ed Webb as the organization’s new chief executive officer. Details were shared in a press release.
For the past eleven years, Webb has served as president and chief executive officer of the World Trade Center of Louisville, Kentucky, where he and his team were instrumental in expanding training, certification and educational programming and in generating new members and revenues for WTC-KY.
Webb’s accomplishments at the Louisville trade organization included creation of a partnership with the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics to design and provide international training and certification to its MBA candidates. That Global Strategies and Commerce Certificate has provided over 200 future leaders across the commonwealth with the international business knowledge to grow professionally and to grow Kentucky trade. Webb and his team also targeted and established successful programs and partnerships in conjunction with Murray State University and the University of Louisville.
Webb established the Global Executive Forum Series, which provides high-level trade information and networking for c-level executives to recognize the growing role of women in international trade, along with numerous state and regional organizations which included new partnerships with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky Aerospace Industry Consortium.

We have a great deal of confidence in our organization’s future with Ed Webb taking the helm and promoting international trade and commerce for the region and the state."

Webb is a native of Louisville and a graduate of the University of Louisville. He received a masters of business administration from Bellarmine University. Webb will assume his responsibilities to the World Trade Center of New Orleans in mind-June.
