Woodward Design+Build is pleased to announce the hire of Sean Tynan as the firm’s new Chief Financial Officer. Tynan holds responsibility for corporate finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning and analysis. He also holds responsibility for both Human Resource and IT operations.
Prior to this role, Tynan served as CFO of Intralox, LLC, the largest division of Laitram, LLC, a privately-held global manufacturer of precision-engineered conveyance solutions, headquartered in New Orleans with global commercial and manufacturing operations in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Australia, China, India, and Japan.
A native of New Orleans, Tynan started his career in 1997 at the General Electric Company where he graduated from its Financial Management Program and Corporate Audit Staff. He proceeded to assume increasingly senior finance roles in multiple global divisions of GE focused primarily on both short-cycle and long-cycle manufacturing and service businesses. He then joined United Technologies Corporation as part of a GE divestiture where he was the CFO of the Global Detection and Alarm division before returning home to New Orleans in 2012.
Tynan is an honors graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans and the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics. He is a member of Financial Executives International (FEI) and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
