A native of historic Selma, Alabama, Krystal began her career as a teacher and later advanced into instructional leadership as a school principal, where her passion for designing and delivering professional learning experiences took root. Krystal transitioned into social entrepreneurship in 2017, establishing K. Allen Consulting™, which has become a highly sought-after partner for major corporate brands like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, as well as school systems, nonprofits, and government agencies. By drawing on her extensive professional expertise and personal experiences as a Black woman, first-generation college graduate, and lifelong education advocate, Krystal provides readers with actionable insights into how DEI can transform workplace environments and the impact organizations have within the communities they serve.
