Winn-Dixie Continues Commitment to Ochsner Hospital for Children with $52,184 Donation

NEW ORLEANS (BUSINESS WIRE) – Southeastern Grocers, Inc. (SEG), parent company and home of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores, announces today that it will donate $52,184 to Ochsner Hospital for Children. Bolstering its commitment to communities throughout Louisiana, Winn-Dixie’s successful Mardi Gras initiatives have raised more than $100,000 for Ochsner Hospital for Children over the last two years.

This year’s donation of more than $52,000 was raised through a combination of generous customer contributions, a percentage of king cakes sales during Mardi Gras season and dedicated funds from Winn-Dixie Gives.

Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said, “We continue to value and appreciate the unwavering generosity of our Louisiana associates and customers. The kindheartedness of this community will enable Ochsner Hospital for Children to continue their life-changing work across the Gulf Coast. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership with this organization and others that touch the lives of those we serve.”
