Windsor Court Honors Local Nonprofits With “30 Ways To Give Back” Campaign

NEW ORLEANS – To commemorate the Windsor Court Hotel’s 30th anniversary, and celebrate the organizations that make New Orleans a better place to live, the hotel launched the “30 Ways to Give Back” contest.

Facilitated through Windsor Court’s Facebook page, the contest invites the public to vote for the nonprofit they find most deserving of the grand prize: an event valued at $10,000 at the Windsor Court in 2015.

The contest highlights 30 local service organizations that positively impact the New Orleans area. Their missions support causes ranging from housing and coastal conservation, to arts and education. There will only be one winner, but every organization benefits from awareness generated through the social media promotion. Posts, shares and tweets about the contest have reached more than 23,000 impressions and the first round of voting garnered more than 2,700 votes from individuals throughout the community.

For the final round of voting, the field of 30 organizations was narrowed down to the top five organizations with the most votes, including Eden House, New Orleans Family Justice Center, Our School at Blair Grocery, Parkway Partners and St. Michael Special School.

         Voting ends Dec. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

The official winner will be announced on the evening of Dec. 1 at the Windsor Court, located at 300 Gravier St., New Orleans, at their 30th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live music, and each of the top five organizations will be present at the event to receive recognition for their participation.
