"The capacity to meet crowd demands and menu creativity were the major determining factors when we were selecting vendors of the hundreds of restaurants that applied," said Cleveland Spears, III, FCF organizer and president and CEO of the Spears Group. "It was important for us to provide guests with an exciting culinary experience and not simply restaurants providing fried chicken and french fries. Guests can expect unique utilizations of fried chicken in some really exciting dishes."
FCF is a free event supported and sponsored by Raising Cane's, Willie's Chicken Shack, AT&T, American Federation for Children, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation and Capital One Bank among others.
The National Fried Chicken Festival brings the community together to celebrate and indulge in one of America's favorite dishes, reps said. In addition to vendors from across the U.S. debuting their dishes, the festival will include two music stages and a cooking demo stage. There will also be a variety of experiences including the American Federation for Children Kids' Coop, the Sucré Sweet Spot, the GoNOLA Mist and Chill Lounge, the return of the Moet Chicken and Champagne VIP Lounge and more.
