SHREVEPORT, LA – Kelly Landrieu, Whole Foods Market’s local product forager in Louisiana, will lead a Local 101 class Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center Red River Ballroom, 400 Caddo St.
This free program will cover in-depth information on Whole Foods Market’s quality standards, food safety, retail-ready packaging, regulatory requirements and the process for becoming a supplier.
“I’m thrilled to have Whole Foods Market in our city to offer our citizens yet another option for healthy foods,” Shreveport Mayor Ollie S. Tyler said. “This also creates a tremendous opportunity for small businesses to partner with Whole Foods and get local products on the shelves.”
Local 101 is open to all current and aspiring Louisiana food and lifestyle artisans, manufacturers and producers.

Whole Foods Market’s first Shreveport store will open in fall 2015.
