Whole Foods Market® Louisiana Stores To Provide Disaster Assistance

NEW ORLEANS – Whole Foods Market® Louisiana stores announced they will help communities affected by Red River flooding via the Red Cross throughout the month of July 2015.

WFM Louisiana stores will hold a register donation drive through Friday, July 31, to benefit the American Red Cross. Funds raised will be specifically designated to help Northwest and Central Louisiana communities affected by Red River flooding that is the worst seen in 70 years. The flood has reached nine parishes and affected hundreds of homes.

More than 110 Red Cross volunteers and employees have responded to the Red River flooding, organizers said. Hundreds of Louisiana residents have received food and water, shelter, cleanup supplies, personal care items, and health and mental services. Red Cross services are continuing as the floodwaters recede to assist residents with their recovery needs.
