NEW ORLEANS – Scott M. Burke is the new president of the 73 year old business group Westbank Business and Industry Association (WBIA). According to a press release, Burke was installed on Thursday, May 9, at Boomtown New Orleans in Harvey, alongside other incoming officers, directors and committee chairs of the prestigious organization preparing for its 2019-2020 term.
Burke, who has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the textile rental service industry, is the president and owner of Loop Linen Service, Incorporated. Burke holds a bachelor of science from Louisiana State University and is also the managing partner of Loop Investments and the managing partner of New Orleans Party Rental.
Burke also currently serves as president of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – West. He is the secretary of the National Alliance of Independent Laundries. Burke’s community and civic endeavors including his being a member and Director of the Rotary Club of Westwego, Louisiana and a member of the Café Hope Board of Directors in Gretna. A New Orleanian and a lifelong resident of the Westbank, Burke is married to Jo Sandras Burke. They have two sons, Brandon and Tyler, and a grandson, Tanner.
