MARRERO, LA – In observance of the 25th anniversary of World Breastfeeding Week (Tuesday, Aug. 1 – Monday, Aug. 7.), The Family Birth Place at West Jefferson Medical Center is hosting a baby shower for new moms and moms-to-be, Saturday, Aug. 5, at West Jefferson Medical Center’s Hospital Auditorium, 1101 Medical Center Blvd., from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The shower will include information on breastfeeding, its importance and best practices, organizers said. They will also offer information on infant/toddler choking, how to choose a pediatrician that’s right for you, and a wealth of information on all things baby.
There will be light refreshments, goodie bags and chances to win door prizes.
