NEW ORLEANS — Iowa-based ice cream maker Wells Enterprises is hosting an ice cream giveaway and free drone light show on Monday, April 29 at Woldenberg Park. The privately held ice cream company — which produces Blue Bunny, Halo Top, Bomb Pop and Blue-Ribbon Classic products — is hosting its 2024 national sales meeting in New Orleans for the first time.
Wells claims the title of the largest family-owned and managed ice cream manufacturer in the United States. Tracing its origins back to 1913, the company is based in Le Mars, Iowa. It has roughly 4,000 employees working in Iowa, New York, Nevada, Illinois and Arkansas. Hundreds are expected to attend the meeting in New Orleans.
The giveaway begins at 7 p.m. The drone light show begins at 8:30 p.m.
