For years, our Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) has been many things to many people. To HBAGNO developer and builder members, we’re proud of the policy work and lobbying that we’ve undertaken to challenge (and frequently eliminate) unnecessary regulatory burdens on home construction and development. Moreover, our efforts in providing business-related products, services, and benefits have greatly appealed to our subcontractor, vendor and industry-associated companies.
For example, the savings realized through participation in one of our member-based insurance products often underwrites the cost of one’s annual member dues. Additionally, public policymakers, the media and the metro community rely upon HBAGNO for trusted, reliable information on the home building process and innovations connected to our industry. True to this magazine’s title, we have been a “Home Source” to thousands since the 1940’s; however, it’s time for us to “be” more.
As business and technology practices progress at near-warp speeds, HBAGNO must reflect those advancements by translating them into new opportunities for our members — and prospective members who recognize the merits of joining our organization. Our 950+ member firms have very diverse business interests and needs. It is HBAGNO’s goal throughout 2019 to discern those needs in a very meticulous manner so that vital services and value can flow back to our membership in direct and significant ways. We want to exceed our members’ expectations, but we need your help.
