NEW ORLEANS – Walt Leger III, senior vice president for strategic affairs and general counsel at New Orleans & Company, will be presented the 2019 State Wide Angel award by the Louisiana Institute for Children in Families at the fifth annual Louisiana Angels Gala on Dec. 4, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the National WWII Museum Freedom Pavilion.
The annual Louisiana Angels Gala celebrates individuals whose contributions work to improve the outcomes of children in need of families. In addition to honoring Louisiana Angels, the gala also raises awareness for the need of every child to know love, safety and wellbeing of a family. Tickets for the gala can be purchased here.
“We are fortunate to have Walt as a champion of Tourism and working with New Orleans & Company. The same work ethic displayed in his career can be seen in his dedication to improving the lives of children through adoption and foster care,” said Stephen Perry, president and CEO of New Orleans & Company. “Walt’s character, knowledge and passion set an example of how we can all succeed and give back. He is an inspiration to our community and state.”
Leger is currently the speaker pro tempore of the Louisiana House of Representatives and State Representative for District 91. He will turnover his seat in January.
