NEW ORLEANS – Mega retailer Walmart announced it is offering associates memberships to any of thousands of gyms for $9 a paycheck.
In partnership with Trivity Health, Walmart is offering its 35,349 Louisiana associates, and associates nationwide, Trivity’s Prime Fitness program, which gives Walmart employees access to Trivity’s network of more than 9,000 participating fitness centers nationwide. In New Orleans, participating gyms include Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness among others.
Walmart is making this available to all its full-time, part-time and temporary associates.
“We’re committed to providing Walmart associates and their families access to high quality medical coverage along with tools and resources to manage their health and well-being.” said Adam Stavisky, senior vice president, U.S. benefits. “The Walton Life Fitness Pass is an example of how we’re working to help our associates and their families live better.”
