Waitr Flourishing In New Orleans – Expands Food Delivery Service To Houma And Thibodaux

NEW ORLEANS – Waitr’s widespread appeal in New Orleans has triggered the restaurant on-demand platform to expand its service to Houma and Thibodaux. The delivery service begins this week in both cities, The Waitr app lets you order from your favorite restaurant … then sends a Waitr driver to deliver it to you for a flat fee of $5.

Waitr is seen as the industry’s top food delivery service for customers and businesses alike. Waitr in New Orleans has skyrocketed since the first of this year, delivering more than 250,000 meals in the area since January 1. It now has more than 700 city restaurants using the service, and over 200,000 active users. Restaurants are seeing an average increase in overall business by 18 percent as a direct result of Waitr.

“The Houma and Thibodaux community and restaurant owners saw the excitement and success of our food delivery in Louisiana and wanted to be part of it,” said Market Development Director for Waitr Whitney Savoie. “We’re thrilled we can now meet that demand here.”

Savoie says customers rave about how convenient Waitr is to use, as well as its more favorable pricing – specifically the $5 delivery flat fee. In addition, menu prices are the same on the app as they are at the restaurants. Other unique, practical features include live monitoring of deliveries and full-color photography of every menu item.

Waitr is looking to hire drivers in both areas. Those interested can apply at https://waitrapp.com/become-a-driver.
