VP Pence Visits Louisiana, Meets With Local BR Business Leaders

BATON ROUGE (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence visits the Baton Rouge area today.

         Pence's office says he'll meet with local business people Wednesday to discuss health care, jobs and the economy.

         He's also scheduled to deliver remarks in Port Allen at Cajun Industries, a construction services corporation.

         Pence will be accompanied by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma and Republican Rep. Garret Graves.

8:50 a.m. – Vice President Mike Pence departs Joint Base Andrews en route for Baton Rouge

10:20 a.m. – Arrives at Baton Rouge Municipal Airport, greeted by LA Gov. Bel Edwards

12:15 p.m. – Visits Cajun Industries, 2307 S Westport Dr., in Baton Rouge, where he’ll participate in a listening session with small businesses and job creators in the community

1:15 p.m. – Delivers remarks

2:30 p.m. – Departs Baton Rouge Municipal Airport
