Viewers in WYES TV’s Broadcasting Area Can Stream Live for Free

NEW ORLEANS — Watching WYES live without cable no longer requires an antenna and is now free to those in the station’s viewing area throughout southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. WYES, one of New Orleans’ two PBS member stations, is expanding its digital footprint to broaden its reach among cord-cutters.

To live stream the WYES broadcast on an internet-enabled device visit wyes.org/live or download the free WYES mobile app.

Viewers will be able to watch Informed Sources, Steppin’ Out, Kitchen Queens: New Orleans and other favorite shows.

In addition, WYES is available on all station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and PBSKIDS.org, as well as the PBS Video app and PBS KIDS Video app available free of charge on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung TV and Apple TV.

Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast households can also pick up the WYES broadcast for free via a digital antenna, or subscribe to cable or satellite TV to access. Another option for viewing PBS and WYES programs is WYES Passport, a member benefit that gives supporters extended access to an on-demand library of quality public television programming as well as local WYES programming, including cultural documentaries and cooking series.
