Vieux Carre Commission Seeking Nominations For Architectural Awards For Projects Completed In 2015

NEW ORLEANS – The Vieux Carré Commission (VCC) is seeking nominations for architectural awards for projects completed between January 2012 and December 2015. The award ceremony will be held in May 2016.

         To be considered, submittals may be forwarded to rdbourgogne@nola.gov. Submittals must include a brief description of why the suggested project is worthy of recognition. While not required, photographs of the completed projected are encouraged.

         The deadline for nominations is Monday, February 29, 2016.

         The VCC is the nation’s second oldest historic preservation commission. It protects, preserves and maintains the distinct architectural, historic character and zoning integrity of the Vieux Carré including regulating repairs, construction and violations charges.
