COVINGTON, LA – Crimefighters, Ltd., Louisiana's largest crime victims' rights organization, has endorsed Randy Smith for St. Tammany Parish Sheriff.
"I'm honored to have the support of Crimefighters," Smith said. "The job of sheriff is not only to prevent and solve crimes, but to ensure the victims of crime receive the services they are due. Crimefighters has done excellent work in this arena for more than 22 years, and I'm very glad they recognize my professionalism and commitment to serving all the people of St. Tammany Parish."
"In his nearly 30-year career as a law enforcement professional, Randy has shown he is tough on crime and compassionate to crime victims," said Irv Magri, state president of Crimefighters and former chairman of the state Pardon Board. "We're confident Randy will continue the service he has demonstrated to the people of his community when elected St. Tammany Parish Sheriff."
