University of New Orleans Launches Certificate Program in Human Capital Management

New Orleans – Yesterday, the University of New Orleans announced that it has launched a certificate program in human capital management. The program is designed to help human resources professionals, managers and other business leaders enhance their abilities to maximize effectiveness within their organizations.

Certificates are attained by completion of four courses that can be taken in any sequence. Courses focus on strategic organization and planning, organizational change management, rewards management and maximizing organization performance. The first course will be offered Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 6-9 p.m. in Kirschman Hall on the UNO campus.

“We are pleased to be able to offer this kind of training for professionals who want to see their organizations become more effective,” said John Williams, dean of UNO’s College of Business Administration.

Stodd has served as the chief human resource officer for four prestigious organizations as well as on the consulting staff of several top-tier firms. He is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management as a senior professional in human resources. He was recognized in 2010 as a distinguished instructor at the University of California-Irvine, where he taught organizational leadership, change management and human resource management.
