NEW ORLEANS – The University of Holy Cross has announced plans to host a one-day holiday festival called “WinterFest” on Friday, Dec. 10 on the school’s Algiers campus. The inaugural holiday festival will feature a large ice-skating rink, special holiday food stations, winter games, hot chocolate and other wintertime beverages, holiday gift vendors, Christmas music, a holiday photo booth and more.
Admission is free but there will be a charge for food and some activities.
“The holiday season is all about giving so our gift to the community is the inaugural UHC WinterFest,” said UHC President Dr. Stanton McNeely. “Our campus will open its arms to the Westbank community as well as the entire city this holiday season so families and friends can make great holiday memories ice skating, singing holiday carols, eating s’mores and just experiencing holiday cheer together for the first time in nearly two years.”
WinterFest hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, visit uhcno.edu.
