University Of Holy Cross Names Directors Of Admission, Alumni

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Holy Cross (UHC) has named Ashley Johnston, Ph.D. as Director of Admissions and Matt Picard as Director of Alumni & Parent Relations.

         Dr. Ashley Johnston is originally from Gretna and earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi. She comes to UHC with 10 years professional experience, eight of which in Admissions and Recruitment. She most recently worked at USM on undergraduate retention and student success initiatives, serving both sophomore and transfer populations.

         Matt Picard is a native of Breaux Bridge, LA. He fell in love with UHC in the spring of 2013 and has not looked back since. He loves connecting with students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff. He is a 2017 graduate of UHC in Theology with a minor in Philosophy. He enjoys live concerts, biking, and playing tennis in his free time.

         A fully accredited Catholic university on the West Bank of New Orleans, the UHC (formerly Our Lady of Holy Cross College) offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs to some 1,200 students. With 154 faculty members and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1, students enjoy a personalized academic experience on an active campus where they are encouraged to explore spiritual values and pursue service opportunities, school reps said.
