NEW ORLEANS – Effective Tuesday, August 16, 2016, United Way of Southeast Louisiana is accepting flood relief items at its main office: 2515 Canal St., from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday until further notice.
Its regional office, 411 West Coleman Ave., in Hammond, LA, will be accepting items from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
United Way is also encouraging online monetary donations be made to Flood Relief here.
This allows United Way to direct funds to where they are most needed for flood victims, reps said.
United Way reps said there is not a need for clothing and furniture donations at this time and United Way will not accept them, but the organization is requesting donations for:
