NEW ORLEANS – Aspiring entrepreneurs will have the unique opportunity to create a business in just three days at Tulane University’s first-ever Startup Sprint, hosted by the Tulane University Innovation Institute. Scheduled for Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, this dynamic event will take place at the Lavin-Bernick Center and aims to empower participants to turn their business ideas into reality.
Open to participants of all backgrounds and experience levels, the Startup Sprint offers an immersive crash course in entrepreneurship. Over the weekend, attendees will form teams, brainstorm innovative ideas, develop prototypes, and refine their concepts with guidance from expert mentors. The event culminates in a pitch competition on the final day, with a cash prize awarded to the winning team.
“This event is an exciting opportunity for anyone curious about the startup world, whether you’re an experienced entrepreneur or simply been thinking you are ready to start your own business,” said Sharon Goldsmith, Executive Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programs at the Tulane Innovation Institute. “Startup Sprint will provide hands-on experience in a supportive and fun setting.”
Participants can register for a $20 fee, which covers meals, snacks, and a Startup Sprint tote bag. Attendees must commit to the full weekend to ensure their team’s success.
