METAIRIE, LA – Tulane Health System, in partnership with PT Solutions, celebrated the opening of Tulane Physical Therapy, a new stand-alone 3,600 square foot physical therapy clinic, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 3750 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie.
“What makes us different is our therapists,” said Kevin Duffy, Director of Physical Therapy at PT Solutions. “Our merit is based in our hearts, minds and hands, and that is what we at PT Solutions and Tulane Physical Therapy can bring to the residents of Jefferson Parish. Our physical therapists create individualized treatments and programs for each patient based on the most recent and proven scientific literature,” said Duffy. “Many of Tulane’s patients call Metairie home and we want to offer them the convenience of receiving expert physical therapy care right in their own neighborhood.”
Clinic reps said their expert physical therapists treat adults and children suffering pain or dysfunction from injury, stress, bad posture or after surgery. The clinic is outfitted with the latest treatment options including exercise machines, dry needling, an Xbox Kinect, and more, to help patients meet and exceed their therapy milestones. The pediatric patients especially enjoy using the Xbox Kinect as part of their therapy, reps said.
“Part of Tulane Health System’s mission is to provide world class patient care right here in our community,” said Dr. William Lunn, President and CEO of Tulane Health System. “This physical therapy clinic has only been open a short time, but we are already exceeding expectations and plan to add another therapist to the location. We hope this will be the first of several similar facilities to provide convenient access to the world class healthcare our communities need and deserve.”
Representatives from the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, including chamber president Todd Murphy, and other elected officials helped Tulane Health System and PT Solutions celebrate the opening of the new clinic with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on June 21.
“We’ve learned after all the storms we’ve had, that we really need two things to get back to the area; we need our schools to open and we need quality healthcare,” said Todd Murphy, Jefferson Chamber President. “We really appreciate the commitment of HCA and Tulane bringing quality healthcare. This new clinic is an improvement to Veterans Blvd., and a great location for patients.”
