NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Tulane University School of Medicine students are raising money for research and relief efforts to fight the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
In a university news release Wednesday, doctoral student Donna Edwards says the fundraiser is important to many in the Tulane community. All proceeds will directly support Tulane's relief and research work at the Kenema Government Hospital in Sierra Leone, which is at the center of the epidemic.
The effort includes a benefit concert scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, October 24, at the New Orleans House of Blues.
