NEW ORLEANS – Did you know that Tulane University provides health care services at 58 sites in 22 parishes of Louisiana? Or that the university provides 10,600 jobs with an economic benefit of $920 million? The value of community service performed by Tulane volunteers was estimated at $5.4 million in 2013.
To increase the visibility of Tulane’s contributions across the State of Louisiana, the Wave Network has been created by Tulane’s Office of Government & Community Relations in partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations.
The network has been established to bring together alumni, students, parents and friends to speak out for Tulane University at the State Capitol and around the state. Members of the Wave Network will help tell the Tulane story and advocate on behalf of the university and higher education.
Anyone with an interest in Tulane can be part of the network and membership will help ensure a strong partnership with the State of Louisiana, which is critical to the university’s long-term success.
To kick off the network, the Office of Government and Community Relations is launching an E-newsletter and website which will provide a host of information and tools to assist members in advocating on behalf of the University.
