Tri-Parish Works Hosts Job Fair in Mandeville

NEW ORLEANS Tri-Parish Works will host the Northshore Fall Fest Job Fair on Oct. 3 in Mandeville, in partnership with St. Tammany Recreation District #1, Northshore Technical Community College and St. Tammany Corporation. According to a press release, the event promises to connect job seekers to thousands of jobs within the region.

Tri-Parish Works hosts two annual job fairs, drawing nearly 1,800 job seekers each year. The continued growth and success now attracts more than 100 employers, expanding opportunities for businesses to find great local talent. Job seekers from all backgrounds will be able to explore, apply for, and interview on-the-spot for available jobs across all industries, including entry, mid-level, trade, and professional level positions.

This season’s event brings some high-volume hiring companies like Maximus, (234 customer service reps), Humana (250 positions), VA Hospital (nearly 100 positions), and the New Orleans Police Department (150 police recruits). Companies representing the tech industry, such as CDIT, IT Coalition, and In-Telcom, will be looking for talent. Employers are also planning to fill such high demand occupations as registered nurses and CNAs, and welders and pipefitters. More than 20-percent of the employers will be conducting interviews on-site.

To be successful, job seekers must be dressed to impress and ready to interview on-site. They should bring résumés, along with a positive attitude.
