NEW ORLEANS—Derek Brody has been named advisor, finance manager at Trepwise, a NOLA-based strategy consulting firm, where he is responsible for primary research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, client communications and project management.

A New Jersey native, Brody holds a degree from Vanderbilt University in political science and history, with an emphasis on education. After a stint with Teach for America, Brody was a teacher and administrator in Memphis, Tenn.
