Treasure Chest Casino Hires New Executive Chef

KENNER, La. – Boyd Gaming Corporation has hired Eddie A. Garcia to be executive chef at the Treasure Chest Casino. He will develop dining menus for several new restaurants at the land-based casino.

“Good food is a staple of Louisiana, and the Treasure Chest Casino recognizes the importance of having the highest-quality offerings for guests,” said Kim Etland, vice president and general manager for Treasure Chest Casino, in a press release. “As we transition to the new site, Eddie’s years of cooking and leading a kitchen will be instrumental in developing an impactful culinary experience for all who visit.” 

Garcia spent nearly five years working as an executive chef and more than eight years as an executive sous chef for major casinos in Las Vegas. He got his start in the culinary industry as head chef for an adventure company and then for an assisted living facility, both in California. He is a 2010 graduate of the California School of Culinary Arts.
