Everything that Tracy Duhon has done — and everything she will do for the rest of her life — is rooted in her faith and hope.
Through personal hardships and tragedies, Duhon and her husband, Troy, have come to understand that through their hope in Christ, they are called to Help Other People Every Day.
“Giving Hope is not just something that we do. It’s who we are. It’s through our pain that we were given purpose. We bloomed where we were planted.”
The Duhons managed to turn their pain into purpose when they formed the nonprofit, Giving Hope, which encompasses several outreaches like The Food Pantry of New Orleans, Hope House Orphanages, Hope Against Trafficking and Hope for a Home. These initiatives have already changed countless lives.
Duhon also founded the Women of Hope Unite program, a faith-based women’s organization driven by the desire to live life with purpose and intentionality.
“We find purpose in the passions that inspire us and the injustices that anger us. It’s a network of women who invest their time, talent and treasure to impact women and children of all ages, creating a legacy for her generation and the generations to come.”
Duhon says that members of Giving Hope “see the need and take the lead,” drawing from their own experiences to empower other people to do the same.
“I’m very passionate about the life I’ve been given and how fragile it is. I want you to know there is hope and purpose for your future. We are each given one life to live that no one can live for us. It is a precious gift. How are we going to live it?”
