COVINGTON, LA— Avanti Senior Living of Covington, a revolutionary senior living development, operations and ownership company, announced Devin Tournillon as Family Resident Advocate beginning today, Friday, Jan. 6.
With a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and a master’s in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Devin has spent over 25 years in the healthcare field doing social work, marketing and admissions in a variety of settings. She has worked in assisted living and memory care as well as in nursing homes, hospice and hospitals. She is currently active with the Alzheimer's Association, the West St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce and the St. Tammany Social Services Networking Group.

Avanti Senior Living of Covington will be located off Ochsner Boulevard in the Watercross at Nor du Lac. Opening this May, the sales gallery will be open starting Monday, Jan. 9. Model rooms will be available for viewing in early March.
The 77,000-square-foot, $15 million community will provide 50 assisted living suites and 40 memory care suites, serving up to 98 seniors and creating 60 jobs. Avanti Senior Living of Covington will include a state-of-the-art wellness center with ballet barre and fitness programs, a theater area, a full-service salon and spa offering relaxation therapy, aromatherapy, therapeutic massages, hair styling and manicures/pedicures. In addition, the community will have a fully-functional art studio with an abundance of natural light and a display wall for residents’ artwork. After opening in Covington, Avanti has plans to build a community in Lafayette.
