Tonight, Local Leaders Host Workshop for Small, Diverse Businesses as part of "In It to Win It" Series

 

NEW ORLEANS – Tonight, the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) and the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network (NOMTN) will host their third session of "In It To Win It" – a series of panel discussions aimed at helping local, diverse-owned businesses in New Orleans capture more revenue from New Orleans' growing tourism economy. 

The session will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ashe Powerhouse (1731 Baronne Street).

The list of speakers include Ed Robinson, founder of L&R Security; Camille Whitworth, CEO of Media By Design and owner of Victory; and Ashtin Berry, co-founder of Radical Xchange and Imbibe Magazine's 2019 Bartender of the Year – all of whom will share strategies for local businesses hoping to benefit from large events by maximizing their profits, without disrupting their daily operations.

WBOK Good Morning Show host Oliver Thomas will moderate the discussion.

Also, Ann Duplessis of Liberty Bank will share information on the BuildNOLA Mobilization Fund, which is aimed at helping female entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color access capital for city infrastructure projects.
