NEW ORLEANS – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana is hosting multiple speakers and seminars today at its 3rd annual Hispanic Business Conference & Trade Show, a unique platform geared to help small business owners expand their business, share best practices and build the community, at The Harrah’s Hotel New Orleans’ Vieux Carre Ballrooms I & II.
No registration is required to attend the speaker and seminar sessions that are also open to the public.
Leslie Cole, Strategic Sourcing Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, will kick off the conference introducing the most effective ways on how to get ready to do business with large corporations.
Jorge Diaz De Villegas, Senior Vice President & Senior Partner General Manager of Fleishmanhillard Miami, is a strategic communications counselor specializing in brand marketing and positioning communications, with more than 20 years of experience in the general U.S., Hispanic and Latin American markets. He has immersed himself in understanding how consumers think and behave to shape compelling brand positioning and messaging strategies. Diaz will be joined by Emilio Peralta, Editor of Meridiano90, Luz Lobos, President of Synergy Design Group Inc. and Amanda Freeman, Sales Manager at KGLA/Telemundo. Together they will share the correct strategies on how to market to the Hispanic Community.
Tatiana Bruce, Business Development Officer, LED, will be joining Phala K. Mire, President of WBEC, Jo Ann Lawerence, Deputy Business Director, SBA and Teresa Lawerence, President of Delta Personnel, in sharing insights on why business owners should certify their businesses.
HCCL Vice Chair, Jacqueline Brettner, Russell Foster and Stephen Scullin from Carven Darden Koretzky Tessier Flinn Blossman & Areaux LLC will explain discuss small business legal matters.
The program will end with the Hispanic Young Professionals of LA featuring Blanca Robinson, President & Coach of VIVA Consulting Group, who will present an interactive workshop that will help identify attendees’ career vision, core values and power base, all of which are essential for success.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana is a non-profit organization created as the result of a merger in 1999 of two chambers: The Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (incorporated in 1984) and The Gulf Coast International Chamber of Commerce (incorporated in 1990). It is committed to creating and facilitating a business climate within the Hispanic community, which will result in economic development and progress for Louisiana. Included within its focus is a dedication to the expansion of trade relations between the State of Louisiana and Latin America.
