Thermon Group Holdings Inc. Appoints Chairperson of the Board of Directors

NEW ORLEANS — Thermon Group Holdings Inc. announced in a press release that John T. Nesser III has been appointed to succeed Charles A. Sorrentino as the non-executive chairperson of the board of directors of the company, to provide for an orderly succession for the Board’s leadership. Sorrentino will continue to serve as a member of the board.

Thermon serves the global energy, power generation and chemical markets to provide innovative solutions for industrial heating applications by understanding their customers’ needs.

“The appointment of John will provide both continuity and a deep understanding of the business, strategy, challenges and opportunities that lie ahead,” said Bruce A. Thames, president, chief executive officer and director of Thermon. “John’s depth of experience as a C-level public company executive of a large international business in the oil and gas sector will be invaluable in charting our future course. We are excited to continue to execute our strategic plan under his leadership.”

Nesser has served as a director since June 2012. Since July 2013, he has also served as the co-founder, manager, co-chief executive officer and director of All Coast, LLC. Following its acquisition of Hercules Offshore Domestic Liftboat Fleet in July 2013, All Coast owns and operates the largest fleet of liftboats for the offshore oil and gas market in the Gulf of Mexico.

Nesser retired as executive vice president and chief operating officer of McDermott International Inc. in 2011. He joined McDermott, a global engineering, procurement, construction and installation company with a focus on the energy industry, as associate general counsel in 1998 and spent over 10 years in various senior management roles, including as general counsel, chief administrative officer and chief legal officer. Previously, he served as a managing partner of Nesser, King & LeBlanc, a New Orleans law firm, which he co-founded in 1985.

A New Orleans resident, Nesser is a member of the Texas and Louisiana Bar Associations, and is also a member of the Louisiana State University Law Center Board of Trustees. Mr. Nesser holds a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in finance and a J.D. from Louisiana State University. Nesser was instrumental in starting the LSU Law Center’s Laborde Energy Law Center and has served as Vice Chairman since inception of the program.
