ORANGE BEACH, AL – The Ruby Slipper Café has arrived in Orange Beach, AL. Today from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the restaurant hosted its grand opening event at its new location at 24151 Perdido Beach Blvd.
Restaurant reps said The Ruby Slipper Café Orange Beach offers the New Orleans Southern fare its guests have come to expect, from Eggs Cochon to their signature, eye-opening Mimosas and spicy Bloody Marys, as well as new dishes to satisfy their appetite.
“We are excited that our Ruby Slipper family has continued to expand so successfully across the Gulf Coast” said Jennifer Weishaupt, owner of The Ruby Slipper Café. “And we can’t imagine a better way to celebrate than with a second line at the beach. We look forward to serving the Orange Beach community.”
The Ruby Slipper Café invited guests to enjoy complimentary breakfast or lunch, attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with a traditional New Orleans second line around the restaurant, and the opportunity to taste the Ruby Slipper Café’s twist on old Southern favorites in the heart of Orange Beach. The Café’s BBQ Shrimp & Grits, Bananas Foster Pain Perdu and St. Charles Chicken are just a few of the reasons The Ruby Slipper Café in Pensacola won four Best of the Bay awards in 2016, restaurant reps said.
The Ruby Slipper Café is a family-owned and operated business, and open to serve diners 363 days a year at four New Orleans locations (Marigny, Mid-City, Magazine St. and Canal St.), one in Pensacola, FL, and its newest Orange Beach, AL, location. The Ruby Slipper Café was inspired by a powerful sense of homecoming when returning to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and has expanded across the Southern Gulf Region since opening in 2008.
