The Riverwalk Celebrates 4th Of July, Bastille Day In Spectacular Fashion

NEW ORLEANS – This July, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk® invites the community to celebrate its independence in commemoration of the Fourth of July and Bastille Day with free community events – from a riverfront fireworks extravaganza to a Francophone-themed festival, and more.

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, at 9:00 p.m., celebrate Independence Day at Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza during Go Fourth on the River, a New Orleans tradition featuring two dueling barges in one dazzling fireworks display over the Mississippi River.

Before the fireworks, visitors can explore the latest shopping and entertainment offerings now available at The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, or enjoy the ultimate riverfront dining experience at Poppy’s Time Out Sports Bar & Grill or The Crazy Lobster. Guests can also revel in the beautiful views of the fireworks from Riverwalk’s Riverfront Balcony, located on Level C, while indulging from culinary spots, including Mike Anderson’s Seafood and Fat Tuesday.

In addition to featuring live music, artists and other performances, food vendors offering French delicacies will line the plaza. Face-painting, French storytelling and arts activities will be available for children. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their costumed pups for the “French Dog Contest,” starting at 11:30 a.m. Dogs of all breeds can show off their French spirit for a chance to win prizes.

No ice chests, skateboards, bicycles, pets or glass are allowed on Spanish Plaza during events.
