NEW ORLEANS – On Friday, March 11, 2016, The Galatoire Foundation presented $25,000 checks to two local non-profits, Boys Hope Girls Hope Greater New Orleans and New Orleans Mission, at Galatoire’s Restaurant, 209 Bourbon St.
The Galatoire Foundation raised the funds at its annual Christmas and Mardi Gras table auctions, held on November 30, 2015 and January 11, 2016.
Proceeds from the Galatoire’s table auctions will help Boys Hope Girls Hope Greater New Orleans continue in its mission to help academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college.
Galatoire’s table auction donations will also contribute to New Orleans Mission’s efforts to provide food, shelter, clothing and spiritual guidance to the city’s homeless, hurting and hungry.
Created in 2010, The Galatoire Foundation establishes a framework for the restaurant’s numerous community activities and donations. Following the completion of the 2016 Mardi Gras Table Auction, The Galatoire Foundation surpassed more than $1.1 million dollars raised since the inception of its now-famous holiday table auctions.
