MISSION
The Foundation drives positive impact through philanthropy, leadership, and action in the Greater New Orleans region.
ABOUT
As a community foundation, the Foundation believes that everyone can be a philanthropist. Through the power of collective giving, community members are all able to support nonprofits that provide essential services throughout the region in areas such as animal welfare, arts, children and youth, disaster response, education, environment, health and human services, LGBTQ, women and girls, and local community.
The Foundation works every day to drive positive impact across its 13-parish region. In addition to grant making and hosting donor advised funds, the organization convenes people, resources, and ideas to create intelligent strategies and solutions to meet the region’s greatest challenges. Foundation program areas include civic leadership, economic opportunity, environment, nonprofit leadership and effectiveness,
With roots extending nearly 100 years, the Foundation has responded to every disaster in recent history since Hurricane Katrina, distributing nearly $7 million in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and nearly $4 million in response to Hurricane Ida.
