The Food Network Ranks Broussard’s Thanksgiving Dish #1 In The Country

NEW ORLEANS – It’s going to be a Happy Thanksgiving for Broussard’s in the French Quarter. The Food Network just released their Top Five list for Best Thanksgiving Dishes in America and they ranked Broussard’s Creole Smoked Turkey entrée #1.

The Food Network said, “At Broussard's in New Orleans, you'll find French elegance without pretense, all highlighted with Creole flavor. Chef Neal Swidler brines his turkey for eight hours, then rubs it with a secret Creole seasoning blend before he roasts it for four hours over pecan and oak woods. It's served with haricot verts sauteed with applewood-smoked bacon and shallots, sweet potatoes with ginger and cinnamon, smoked andouille sausage gravy, and a Southern classic: spoonbread.

Broussard’s, 819 Conti St., will be open for Thanksgiving and will be serving their #1 dish in a $55 prix fixe menu that includes Ginger Whipped Sweet Potatoes, Haricot Verts with Bacon Demi, Cranberry Apple Chutney with assorted breads and Homemade Pecan Pie.
