With 21 showrooms across the Southeast, Triton Stone enjoys being a family-run, women-owned, New Orleans-based company that provides a customer-driven experience for those building or remodeling and seeking slabs and other products for commercial and residential projects.
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005, President Katie Jensen returned to New Orleans to aid in the rebuilding of the city. Katie and her sister, Vice President Rachel Jones, founded Triton Stone with guidance and vision from their entrepreneur father and brother Christian Jensen. For the past 15 years, they have worked side by side with their other siblings Mary, David, and Claire. “A family business is based on love, respect, and true teamwork,” says Katie. “We have grown Triton together and are so blessed to have an amazing, tight-knit group of people striving towards the same goal.” Triton’s leadership believes that a happy, fulfilled team is the backbone to any company and works to maintain a foundation of love and respect for the entire family of employees while delivering quality stone products and service.
In addition to her role with Triton, Katie currently serves on the board for the Natural Stone Institute and will soon be the second female President in the organization’s history. In 2020, she was designated as NSI’s Person of the Year and recognized for her volunteer and leadership efforts as well as her overall passion for the industry.
