NEW ORLEANS — “The Dooky Chase Kitchen: Leah’s Legacy” premieres at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29 on WYES-TV, online and on the free WYES and PBS apps. New episodes will premiere each Saturday and will repeat at 11:30 a.m. on Sundays. The series is distributed nationally by American Public Television. Each 30-minute episode will explore a different chapter of one of the city’s most iconic restaurants. On an episode about distinguished guests, for instance, the Chase chefs share a recipe for grits and quail that Leah Chase served to President George W. Bush. Another episode studies the restaurant’s significant place in the history of the civil rights movement.
