NEW ORLEANS – The inaugural #iGiveCatholic Giving Day exceeded The Catholic Foundation’s expectations, raising over $1.3 million for 112 parishes, schools, and not-for-profit ministries in just 24 hours.
Based on the number of new donors participating in #iGiveCatholic, three prizes were awarded to:
1st place – $5,000 – Visitation of Our Lady – St. Benilde School – Dumb Ox Ministries nonprofit ministry
2nd place – $2,500 – Mary Queen of Peace – St. Ann School – Marianites of Holy Cross nonprofit ministry
3rd place – $1,000 – Our Lady Star of the Sea – St. Paul’s School – Woman’s New Life Center nonprofit ministry
The goal of #iGiveCatholic was to strengthen parishes, schools and nonprofit ministries, to raise awareness for their missions, dollars for their programs and provide an avenue for online giving for those without websites.
