NEW IBERIA, LA – Tony Simmons, CEO and President of McIlhenny Company, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the official opening of the new TABASCO Pepper Sauce Visitors Center on Avery Island on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, along Highway 329 past the Avery Island tollgate, at 10:00 a.m.
Designed to feed the curiosity of TABASCO fans, the new Visitors Center brings to life the unique world of TABASCO Sauce, from learning about the storied origins of the sauce, to touring the factory and discovering favorite recipes.
Interactive elements invite fans to explore the rich history behind the world's favorite pepper sauce.
The TABASCO Pepper Sauce Visitors Center is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visitors are also encouraged to enjoy meals prepared with the TABASCO® Family of Flavors® at Restaurant 1868, wander through the Jungle Gardens and observe thousands of snowy egrets Bird City.
