Students Graduate from Capital One Foundation-Sponsored Clinical Medical Assistant Program at Delgado

New Orleans – At a Feb. 6 graduation ceremony, 13 students who participated in the first Clinical Medical Assistant evening program offered by Delgado Community College Workforce Development received their certificates of completion.

The training was funded in part by a $125,000 grant from the Capital One Foundation. The grant provides for non-credit training to accelerate a student along a career or academic pathway in either Allied Health or Information Technology. Students who complete the program can receive up to 12 credit hours toward an Allied Health degree at Delgado.

As part of the grant, a professional career navigator is provided to assist students with resume-writing and finding jobs.
